A Day In The Life...4.25.2024

Welcome to a little bit of my life. I've been wanting to write more and I don't really want to do it in a vacuum. Maybe I should, but I'm not going to. Let's begin. Yesterday was Thursday and I worked with Poppy (Don't worry, I've changed all names so as to avoid embarrassment or whatever). We had a private dining dinner upstairs with a law firm. They'd hired a new lawyer and were celebrating his start. Very chill party. I did what I like to do and asked for names of people there and practiced remembering the names. People, especially the hosts, really love if you can remember names. Poppy and I work well together. Heck, there aren't a lot of people I don't work well with. All of us make a point of not letting personal pettiness get in the way of work. Most of us are to old and tired to have those arguments. There really isn't a lot to say about last night. I mean, this is day one and I'm just spitballing here to see if this is something I want to do. Last night was also a BigSpender appreciation dinner in one of our private rooms. One a year, a few mucky mucks buy dinner for our BigSpenders with wine, drinks, etc. as a show of appreciation for being BigSpenders (not what we call them in reality, but better to disguise that too.) I know or have met almost all of them and they seemed pretty happy when they left. Wow, this is a really boring day so far! Maybe today will be more interesting.
